Modern Black-and-White Wedding at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame.

Event Story

Set against the backdrop of downtown Nashville, Ali and Jay’s wedding at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum embraced clean, modern lines softened by texture, movement, and light.

Ali was drawn to a classic black and white palette and loved timeless blooms like roses and baby’s breath, but wanted the overall design to feel elevated and contemporary rather than traditional. The vision centered on restraint and intention—creating a space that felt chic and minimal, while still warm, romantic, and immersive.

The floral design focused on simplicity with impact. Reception tables were styled with a mix of white rose filled bud vases and minimal, ikebana arrangements, bringing a sculptural, modern edge to the space while maintaining a sense of lightness. Layers of candlelight—both taper and pillar candles—ran the length of the tables, adding warmth and depth against the clean white palette. For the head table, a lush baby’s breath runner created a soft, cloud-like foundation that felt quietly dramatic.

The ceremony design was the statement moment of the day. Set on the museum’s outdoor terrace with the Nashville skyline as a backdrop, a large-scale baby’s breath arch framed the altar. Ali did not have an arch on her initial wishlist, but I’d had the vision for an arch like this in my head for a while, and after my first meeting with Ali, I knew it would be a stunning addition to her day. Built with a lush airy base of baby’s breath and layered with campanula and nerine lilies to add dimension and organic movement, the finished installation felt both striking and organic.

Ali’s bouquet echoed that same approach—an elegant, pared-back composition of calla lilies and nerine lilies that felt effortlessly chic.

Kind Words

Emsley was so wonderful! She took general, loose ideas of a concept I wanted for my wedding and brought it to fruition. She gave me so many options and price points to choose from for every detail, which I also appreciated. It was so wonderful to work with her and I would recommend her to anyone in search of a florist!
